God loves. God gives. We believe. We live.
The Bible—God’s Word—shows us how can receive that life.
First, you must be saved from sin’s penalty. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) The Bible says we sin when we don’t live up to God’s standards in what we do, think or say. Every one of us is guilty of sin, and the consequences are serious. The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)
Second, you cannot save yourself. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) Only Jesus can rescue us from our sin and its consequences.
Third, Jesus has provided for your salvation. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God. (1 Peter 3:18) Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the dead provided everything necessary for our sins to be forgiven and our eternal life with God.
Fourth, you can be saved today. Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2) With a simple prayer of your heart, you can ask Jesus to be your Savior and find salvation.
If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, you can come to Jesus right now and receive his gift of eternal life:
Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. I believe you died on the cross for my sins. I believe you rose again from the dead for my eternal life. So I come to you now, confessing my sins and receiving your forgiveness. I invite you to be my Savior and Lord, and I commit my life to living for you. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Amen.
